During the technical tests & mock exams, invigilation is enabled so that you can test your computer setup. Unfortunately, the exam environment is not completely simulated, so expect more disturbances, warnings & errors during the actual exam.
You must stay sitting in front of the webcam, with your face looking in the direction of the webcam during each part of each exam. If your face is out of view for too long, you get an error message. It can also happen more frequently if you have a large monitor with the webcam on top, so make sure that the webcam is angled down.
During EQE2025, the camera monitoring sensitivity has been increased and automated. This means that a warning pop-up was generated more frequently than before, even if you are just looking down to read on your desk, or looking to one side for your books.
You can continue after clicking “Okay” on the message suggesting you check your webcam. Unfortunately, many candidates were confused and disturbed by these messages, even though they were complying with the exam conditions. Some candidates also lost time by unnecessarily checking their webcam connections. some lost even more time by contacting the invigilators. The pop-up message was only visible in the WISEflow tab where you write your answer.
Candidates should complain about such unexpected behavior – the technical tests should be a true simulation, and even losing a couple of minutes can mean missing a few marks and failing.
