Quicker Patent Grants
Patents take several years to be granted by Patent Offices. Until then your protection is limited, your patent cannot be asserted and it is difficult to find a buyer or licencee.
Using our in-depth legal & procedural knowledge, we get EU, US or NL Patents granted quicker.
Grant can be accelerated at almost all stages. An Application can be drafted to optimise the processing speed. Quicker protection is possible using Utility Models and registration Patents.
Tips For Quicker Grants
Netherlands (NL) Patent
NL has a registration system for patents, providing a quicker grant. Filing an NL patent is sufficient to claim a “Patent Pending”.
Patents are searched within 8-10 month, but all applications are automatically granted at publication (18m after priority). An NL patent is sufficient to claim “Patent Protected”.
The patent includes a copy of the search report and an opinion on patentability. But the patent can only be asserted after an additional examination at the NL Patent Office.
US Patent using Track One acceleration
USPTO issues a final decision (grant / refusal) within approx. 12 months. The first Office Action, with search results, is within sent within 2 – 4 months.
Request on filing and pay an additional fee (approx. $4,200 for large entities, but reduced for small/micro entities).
Limited to 4 independent and 30 total claims.
