There is a complete disconnect now between preparation and the chance of passing the B and C exams. There was always a random factor to A & B exams, but it was very rare for someone to fail twice. And with the unpredictability of WISEflow, with its random crashes and missing features, it getting worse. With a lottery, you improve your chance of winning by buying more tickets 😉.
For those doing it in a 2nd language, the chances of passing are even lower – you do not even have time to read everything once. Advice from tutors is to “do not think, write a lot” and “don’t worry if you don’t understand, just assemble the pieces”. And for C, “finish reading part 1 of C in your lunch break to prepare for part 2”. This is the filter that they are now using to determine “fit to practice”.
If you have a colleague saying “it’s good that it’s difficult so not everyone passes” and “I suffered so you should too”, ask them to help you by mentoring you for 1 or 2 exams. And if they think that knowledge is important, ask them to petition the epi to introduce Continuous Education, or a requirement to take the F Paper every 5 years 😉.
